The native range of this species is China (S. Yunnan) to Tropical Asia. It is a liana and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Uses:
Cure tapeworms (seeds). Crush the fruit, mix with corn flour and palm sugar, knead into small bars, chew to help teeth and gums and cure sore throat. Resin extracted from the tree trunk is used to treat dysentery.
Distribution:
Southern Vietnam. The tree grows naturally.

February-March
