The native range of this species is Tropical & Subtropical Asia to W. Pacific. It is a climber and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Ngọc nữ biển, Mò biển, Chong gọng

Scientific name: 

Clerodendrum inerme (L.) Gaertn. – Volkameria inermis L.

Family: 

Verbenaceae

Uses: 

Edema, fever (leaf decoction). Roots and stems are used as massage medicine, to treat rheumatism, stomach pain, hepatitis. Fruits and stems treat back pain, injuries from falls.

Distribution: 

The tree grows naturally, scattered along the coast from North to South.

Flowering and fruiting season: 

April-December
