The native range of this species is NE. Pakistan to S. China and W. Malesia. It is a climber and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Synosym:

Dregea volubilis (L.f.) Benth. ex Hook.f.

Bù Ốc leo

Uses: 

Treat rheumatism, bone pain, diuretic, edema (Than).

Distribution: 

Lang Son (Huu Lien), Ninh Binh (Cuc Phuong), Ninh Thuan (Phan Rang). The plant grows naturally in shrublands, often found on water banks.

Flowering and fruiting season: 

June-September
