The native range of this species is Central Himalaya to S. China and W. & Central Malesia. It is a tree and grows primarily in the subtropical biome.

Schima wallichii (DC.) Korth.; Gordonia wallichii DC.

Uses: 

Treating ear infections (Resin). Dried petals are brewed to drink to treat uterine pain, and applied to treat smallpox. Young leaves are used as a medicine to stop bleeding, indigestion, enteritis, burns and wounds caused by venomous snake bites and venomous insect bites.

Distribution: 

Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Cao Bang, Lam Dong. The tree grows naturally in high mountainous areas.

January-May
