The native range of this species is Indian Subcontinent to S. China and Indo-China. It is a perennial or shrub and grows primarily in the subtropical biome.

Uses: 

Treats boils, falls, chronic dysentery, all types of rheumatism, gonorrhea, and long-standing boils that do not heal (roots).
