The native range of this species is Assam to Indo-China. It is a tree and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome. It is has environmental uses and social uses, as animal food, a poison and a medicine and for fuel and food.

Sầu đâu, Xoan đào, Xoan chịu hạn

Azadirachta indica A. Juss.

Meliaceae

Uses: 

Tonic, reduces fever, inflammation, malaria, jaundice (Peel). Muscle pain, boils, Eczema (Leaf). Deworming, rheumatism, scabies (Oil).

Distribution: 

Ha Tien, Con Dao, Binh Thuan. The tree grows naturally and is also planted.
