The native range of this species is Indo-China, S. & E. Malesia. It is a climbing shrub or liana and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Vietnamese names: 

Dủ dẻ trâu, Dây trái lông, Nhị tuyến, Vô danh hoa

Synonym: 

Anomianthus dulcis (Dunn) Sincl. 

Family: 

Annonaceae

Distribution: 

South Central provinces and Central Highlands. The tree grows naturally scattered in secondary forests and forest edges.

Flower and fruit season: 

April - June; July-November
