The native range of this species is Malesia to New Guinea. It is a tree and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Sandoricum indicum Cav.

Latin name: 

Sandoricum koetjape (Burm.f.) Merr. – Melia koetjape Burm.f.

Family: 

Meliaceae

Uses: 

Treats diarrhea and dysentery (Root).

Distribution: 

Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Dong Nai. The tree grows naturally in evergreen forests, secondary forests, at altitudes below 1000 m.

Flower and fruit season: 

January-March; May-June
