The native range of this species is Assam to Malesia. It is a tree and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.
Distribution:
This species is distributed in Dong Nai (Chua Chan Mountain, Cat Tien National Park), Tay Ninh (Ba Den Mountain), Dinh Mountain in Ba Ria - Vung Tau at an altitude of 200 - 400m.
Uses:
Light, white, not durable wood used to make paper and household utensils. The bark of the tree is very tough and can be plaited and braided into very sturdy ropes.
