The native range of this species is SE. China to Malesia. It is a shrub and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Diarrhea, liver disease, headaches, menorrhagia, tooth decay (Root, whole plant). The leaves also cure horse orange and stop bleeding wounds.

Distribution: 

The tree grows naturally on forest edges and on hills throughout our country.

Almost all year round.
