The native range of this species is Tropical & Subtropical America. It is a tree and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome. It is has environmental uses and social uses, as animal food, a medicine and invertebrate food and for fuel and food.

Keo ta, Keo thơm, Kinh cầu hoa, Rum tai

Latin name: 

Acacia farnesiana (L.) Willd. – Mimosa farnesiana L.

Family: 

Mimosaceae

Uses: 

Roundworm remover, hemostatic, diarrhea, bleeding gums, mouth sores, stomach pain (Bark, leaves, roots, fruits).

Distribution: 

Introduced tree, now becoming wild everywhere in Vietnam.

May to December
