The native range of this species is Madagascar. It is a subshrub or shrub and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome.

Uses: 

Treats coughs, colds, and vomiting (Leaf). Cavities (Twigs and Leaves). Swelling, snakebite (young top). Treats asthma, flu, bleeding, numbness, sprains, joint dislocations (leaves and buds). In Thailand, fresh leaves are used to treat insect bites and herpes.

Distribution: 

The tree grows naturally, and is also grown in the plains of the southern provinces. Origin from Madagascar.

October to February
