The native range of this species is Indian Subcontinent to China (Yunnan) and Indo-China. It is a shrub or tree and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Latin name: 

Justicia curviflora Wall. – Phlogacanthus curviflorus (Wall.) Nees

Family: 

Acanthaceae

Uses: 

Root is used to treat hot and cold, headache, dizziness, ascites. The root also has a detoxifying effect.

Distribution: 

Hoa Binh (Mai Chau), Son La (Moc Chau), Dien Bien (Dien Bien Dong). The tree grows naturally under the canopy of the forest.

Flowering and fruiting season: 

July-August; October-October
