The native range of this species is Tropical & Subtropical Coasts. It is a subshrub or shrub and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome. It is used as animal food, a poison, a medicine and invertebrate food, has environmental uses and social uses and for fuel and food.

Nghe An (Quynh Luu), Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Kien Giang.

Fruit season: 

March - May.
