The native range of this species is Kenya to Mozambique, W. Indian Ocean, Tropical & Subtropical Asia to Pacific. It is a tree and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome. It is has environmental uses and social uses, as animal food, a poison, a medicine and invertebrate food and for food.

Uses:
