The native range of this species is Tropical & Subtropical Asia to W. Pacific. It is an annual and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome.

Latin name: 

Blumea sinuata (Lour.) Merr. – B. laciniata (Wall. ex Roxb.) DC.; Gnaphalium sinuatum Lour.

Uses: 

Leaves and stems are used to treat boils, detoxify, and stop bleeding. Leaves cure flu, rheumatism, bone pain or injured swelling pain.

Distribution: 

Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Phu Tho, Lam Dong, Dak Lak. The tree grows naturally on grass beds, fields, and upland fields, at an altitude of 100-1,300 m.
