The native range of this species is Bangladesh to W. & Central Malesia. It is a climbing caudex geophyte and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome.

Uses: 

Treat bone pain, headache, stomachache. Also used as a sedative, treating insomnia (Tuber).

Southern region. The tree grows naturally scattered in the sparse forest in the limestone mountains.
