The native range of this species is S. Central China to Malesia. It is a tree and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Uses: 

Lung tonic (Root). The bark is used as a fever reducer. Dried flowers act as a bronchodilator.

Distribution: 

Thanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong. The tree grows naturally scattered in mixed forests.

Flowering and fruiting season: 

October-November; January to March
