The native range of this species is Indo-China to NW. Peninsula Malaysia. It is a tree and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome.

Cà chắc xanh, Cẩm Liên, Rang (Gia Rai)

Latin name: 

Shorea siamensis Miq. – Pentacme siamensis (Miq.) Kurz.

Family:

Dipterocarpaceae

Uses: 

Cure abdominal pain and diarrhea (Drink root).

Distribution:

In Vietnam: Thua Thien-Hue (Lao Bao), Gia Lai, Dak Lak. (Buon Ma Thuot), Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai. The tree grows naturally scattered in open forest, secondary forest, dipterocarp forest, on poor soil, mixed with rocks at elevations up to 500m.

February-March; April 4-5
