The native range of this species is Indo-China to N. Peninsula Malaysia. It is a climber and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Latin name: 

Connarus cochinchinensis (Baill.) Pierre – Tricholobus cochinchinensis Baill.

Family: 

Connaraceae

Uses: 

To replenish blood, stimulate digestion (rhizome). Also used to treat allergies caused by eating, leprosy, hot liver.

Distribution: 

Da Nang, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Binh Duong. The tree grows naturally in open forest, lowland horn forest.

Flowering and fruiting season: 

May-December
