The native range of this species is Himalaya to S. China and W. & Central Malesia. It is a subshrub or shrub and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Uses: 

Jaundice, leukoplakia, vaginal discharge, uterine inflammation, irregular menstruation, high blood pressure, jaundice, joint pain, boils, detoxification, rheumatism, hemorrhoids (root). Inflorescences are used to treat leukoplakia, dysentery, and insomnia.

Distribution: 

The tree grows naturally and is quite common from the North to Quang Nam.

Flowering and fruiting season: 

June-December
