The native range of this species is Assam to China (Yunnan, Guangdong, Guangxi) and Indo-China. It is a tree and grows primarily in the temperate biome.

Latin name: 

Cephalotaxus mannii Hook.f. – C. hainanensis H.L. Li

Uses: 

Treatment of respiratory diseases (shell, leaves). Cough, Asthma (Grain).

Distribution: 

Hanoi (Ba Vi), Nghe An (Muong Long), Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Ngai (Tra Bong). The tree grows naturally in mountain slopes along moist crevices in broad-leaved evergreen forests, including cloud forests, at an altitude of 600-1500m.

Flowering and fruiting season: 

April-May, September-October
