The native range of this species is Indian Subcontinent to S. China and Sumatera. It is a subshrub or shrub and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome.

Vietnamese name: 

Chỉ thiên giả, Chong gọng, Ngọc nữ Ấn Độ

Latin name: 

Clerodendrum indicum (L.) Kuntze – Siphonanthus indica L

Family: 

Verbenaceae

Uses: 

Treatment of epilepsy, orange blossom, asthma, cough, tuberculosis (Leaf). Rheumatic fever caused by syphilis (leaf exudate).

Distribution:

In Vietnam: The tree grows naturally in Son La (Song Ma: Nam Man) and the southwestern provinces.

Fruit season:

April-December
