The native range of this species is Indian Subcontinent. It is a perennial or shrub and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome. It is used as animal food, a poison, a medicine and invertebrate food, has environmental uses and for fuel and food.

Treat dysentery, measles, bladder stones (decoction of leaves). Secrets of the bowels, urination (Drinking water seeds).

Distribution: 

Cao Bang, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang. Trees grow naturally and are grown for timber.
