The native range of this species is Indo-China. It is a climber and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome.

Uses:
Anti-inflammatory, pain relief, asthma (root). Dry cough, natural headache, rhinitis (Fruit). Pimples, itchy sores (Roots).
Distribution:
In Vietnam: Cao Bang, Lang Son, Hoa Binh. The tree grows naturally at the edge of the forest, at altitudes up to 1000 m.
Flowering and fruiting season:
March-April; May-October
