The native range of this species is Tropical & Subtropical Asia to SW. Pacific. It is a annual or subshrub and grows primarly in the wet tropical biome(s).

Family:

Uses: 

The whole plant is used as a medicine to treat gonorrhea, a diuretic, to help with digestion. In China, used to treat colds, sore throat, cough, stomachache; used externally to treat boils.

Distribution: 

In Vietnam: Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Son La (Song Ma), Hoa Binh (Mai Chau), Nghe An, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai. The tree grows naturally in humid, swampy mountainous areas. Rare species included in the Red Book of Vietnam.

Flowering and fruiting season: 

April-June
