The native range of this species is Assam to Taiwan and Indo-China. It is a tree.

Latin name:

Family:

Parts Used: 

Bark, root bark - Cortex et Cortex Radicis Radermucherae Igneae.

Habitat and collection: 

The species is distributed in China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam. Common in evergreen forests in regions with clear dry monsoon, at medium altitudes, between 200 and 800m, rarely more than 1000m, quite common on limestone hills. In Vietnam, the tree grows from Northern Thai, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An to Lam Dong.

Uses, indications and combinations: 

Flowers are edible. Use the bark as medicine to treat malaria, dysentery, diarrhea. The root bark is used to treat postpartum depression
