The native range of this species is China (S. Yunnan) and Vietnam. It is a perennial or rhizomatous geophyte and grows primarly in the subtropical biome(s).

Distribution:

Mang Den town is located in the south of Kon Plong district, on the Mang Den plateau, at an altitude of about 1200 meters above sea level.
