The native range of this species is Bhutan to S. China and Lesser Sunda Islands (Bali).

Synonyms: 

Tropidia bellii Blatt. & McCann 1932; Tropidia calcarata Ames 1912; Tropidia govindovii Blume 1859; Tropidia semilibera (Lindl.) Blume 1859.

Description: 

High orchid 30-40 cm, 2-3 leaves. Inflorescence at the top, 11 cm long, inflorescence 20-30 flowers, flower size 2 cm, blooming in autumn.

Distribution: 

In Vietnam: Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Huong Son, Ha Tinh, Nho Quan, Ninh Binh.
