In Vietnam, the tree grows in the provinces of Cao Bang, Lang Son, Ha Bac, Quang Ninh, Nam Ha, Ninh Binh, most commonly in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh.

Uses:

Soft wood is used to make common furniture, rarely used for high-class utensils and to raise shiitake mushrooms. The tree has a beautiful shape, planted as an ornamental in parks, lakes, and villas. Edible fruit
