its native range is S. China to Vietnam, S. Korea, S. Kuril Islands to Japan.

Vietnamese name: 

Sói nhật, Hom sam mường (Thái), Kim túc lan, Tứ khôi ngoã

Scientific name: 

Chloranthus japonicus Sieb.

Family: 

Chloranthaceae

Uses: 

Amoebic dysentery, white tropics (Drink root). Bone pain, colds, blows, boils, white blood cells (roots soaked in alcohol or drinking decoction).

Distribution: 

In Vietnam: Vinh Phuc (Tam Dao), Kon Tum (Mang Giang), Gia Lai, Lam Dong (Da Lat). The tree grows naturally in evergreen forests.
