its native range is Tropical & Subtropical Asia to W. Pacific.

Vietnamese name:

Quản trọng, Ráng bông giun, sâm bòng bong, sâm chân rết, sâm đất.

Latin name: 

Helminthostachys zeylanica (L.) Hook.

Family: 

Ophioglossaceae

Uses: 

Rhizome for cough, asthma, snakebite, rheumatism, bone pain (rhizome).

Distribution:

In Vietnam: Lao Cai, Hanoi, Hoa Binh, Quang Ngai. The tree grows naturally on lawns and hills, common in limestone areas at an altitude of 100-700 m.
