It occurs around most of the southern hemisphere, and its numerous useful properties have been discovered independently by people of different continents. 

Vietnamese name: 

Chành ràng, Chành rành, Rù rì, Chằn rằn

Latin name: 

Dodonaea viscosa (L.) Jacq.

Family: 

Sapindaceae

Uses: 

Treat fever, burns, rheumatism, wounds, swelling (leaves); as a hunting potion (bark).

Distribution: 

In  VietNam:Nghe An (Quynh Luu), Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Kien Giang.

Fruit season: 

March - May.
