its native range is Tropical & Subtropical Asia to N. Australia, Mexico to Central America, Caribbean.
Vietnamese name:
Rau dừa nước, Rau dừa trâu, Thụy thái, Thủy long, Du long thái, Co nha pót (Thái), Phiắc pop nặm (Tày).
Uses:
Treat scabies (using the whole plant). Fever, cystitis, chylous urination, cough, measles, anuria (whole plant). Externally used to treat pyoderma, breast abscess, parotid gland inflammation, dermatitis, venomous snake bite.
Distribution:
Lao Cai, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue. The tree grows naturally on the surface of ponds, lakes, fields, ditches and rivers in Vietnam.
