its native range is Assam to S. China and W. Malesia, Taiwan.

Vietnamese  name:

Lá ngón, Co ngón, Thuốc rút ruột, Đoạn trường thảo, Ngón vàng, Khau nguộn (Tày), Co ngón (Thái).

Uses: 

Treatment of leprosy, head and limbs twitching (Roots, grilled leaves rub and cover). The whole plant is very poisonous when used.

Distribution: 

In  Vietnamm, the tree grows naturally in the forest edges of high mountains, common in the northern provinces, also in Quang Tri, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Lam Dong.
