Description: 

With a short stem completely enveloped by the clasping bases of up to 7, fleshy, distichous leaves that blooms in the spring on an axillary, shorter than the leaves, rather slender, densely several flowered inflorescence with ovate-triangular, shorter than the ovaries floral bracts.

Nansei-shoto, Philippines, Taiwan.

Ecological:

On tree trunks in forests at elevations of 200 to 700 m as a mini-miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte.
