Description:
With oblong-ovoid, sulcate pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, long petiolate, plicate, elliptic-lanceolate leaves that blooms in the spring in cultivation and the fall in situ on a several at once, erect, to 17.5 cm long, inflorescence with pendant, apple scented, waxy flowers and is found in wet montane forests with a distinct drier winter.

Large sized, warm to cool growing lithophyte found along railway embankments and on limestone rocks or epiphyte with the pseudobulbs protected by leaves or grass and the flowers and leaves held in full sun around 2000 to 3000 m in altitude.
