Description:
With fleshy villose roots giving rise to 1 to 2, basal, villose throughout, oblanceolate, acute to sub-acumiante, gradually tapering below into the sessile base leaves that blooms on an erect to somewhat arcuate, long-pedunculate, to 20 cm long, villose throughout, few flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, villose floral bracts.

Colombia, Ecuador.
Ecological:
At elevations of 2300 to 3000 m as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial.
Flowering times:
Blooms in the summer.
Flower size:
1.0 cm.
Cultivation:
Grow under shade. Plant grows in cool to cold temperatures and should be water regularly year round and reduced after flowering. Keep potting media moist. Pot with 70% fine to medium grade perlite or clay and 30% soil or peat, or in fine bark with leaf litter.
