Description:
With a non-branching, reclining to pendant stem carrying many, terete, obtuse leaves that blooms in the spring on a1.25 cm to 2.5 cm long few (to 6) flowered inflorescence with ovate, obtuse floral bracts and carrying the flowers arranged in a spiral with only 1 to 2 open at any one time.
Distribution:
Borneo, Cambodia, Malaya, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam (Đà Lạt, Lâm Đồng).
Ecological:
On trees in moist lowland forests as a medium to large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte.
Flowering times:
Blooms at any one time.
Flower size:
2.0 cm.
Cultivation:
Plants are best grown hanged in baskets and on mounted and usually require moderate sunlight and intermediate to warm temperatures. Plants should be grown in media that is well drained such as medium fir bark or sphagnum moss. Water plant regularly.
