Description:
With upright, elongate-fusiform, velvety stems that are many leafed towards the apex carrying, oblong or lanceolate, velvety, obscurely bilobed apically leaves with leaf sheaths that are densely covered with black hairs that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a very short, black hairy, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence carrying waxy, fragrant spicy to citrus scented flowers that arise from near the apex of the newest maturing cane and appreciates a bright location.
Distribution:
Assam, China South-Central, China Southeast, Hainan, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam (Tây Nguyên, Lâm Đồng).
Ecological:
In forests on tree trunks at elevations around 600 to 1400 m as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte.
Flowering times:
Blooms in the late winter and early spring.
Flower size:
5.0 cm.
Cultivation:
Plant should be grown in cool to warm locations with diffused light. Water when mix is almost dry but still slightly moist. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark or sphagnum moss. Plants can also be mounted
