Description:
With a creeping rhizome that has 1.5 to 4 cm between each ovoid-globose pseudobulb carrying a single, subsessile, oblong, thickly leathery, obtuse and retuse apically, cuneate below into the base leaf that blooms in the spring on a basal, erect, slender, 5 to 6 cm, often 1 to 3 flowered, umbellate or condensed racemose inflorescence with 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and narrowly ovate, cymbiform floral bracts.
Distribution:
China South-Central, China Southeast, Taiwan.
Ecological:
In forests on tree trunks and on rocks along valleys at elevations around 1000 to 2000 m as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte.
Flowering times:
Blooms in the spring.
Flower size:
8.0 mm.
Cultivation:
Plants usually grow in in intermediate to warm temperatures. Keep moist in summer seasons and do not allow mix to dry, in winter keep the mix slight dry and reduce watering. Watering usually varies between plants Keep good air movement to avoid fungal growth. Keep plants in shade. Pot plants in sphagnum moss, fine bark, or mounted.
