Description:
With stout, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 whitish, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, elliptic, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the early summer on a fascile of a few peduncles 6 to 7 mm long, successively single, sometimes 2 flowered inflorescence.
