Description: 

With brownish to olive, sometimes with a purplish tint, glabrous, obliquely ovate to narrowly ovate pseudobulbs carrying a single, ovate, round to cordate basally, apiculate, thin, plicate, flinely undulate to striaght along the margin, 8 to 10 nerved, sessile base leaf that blooms in the later spring on an erect, basal, peduncle with basally 2 to 4, light yellowish, ovate to lanceolate, sterile bracts, 20 to 35 cm long overall, rachis glaucous, 3 to 4 cm long, 1 to 5 flowered inflorescence carrying simultaneously opening flowers that are 1 to 1.6" apart.

Distribution:

Vietnam (Đại Lộc, Quảng Nam).

Ecological:

In secondary broadleaved forests on very steep rocky slopes at elevations around 400 m as a small sized, hot growing terrestrial orchid.

Flowering times:

Blooms in the later spring.

Flower size:

3.0 cm.

Cultivation:

Plants require shade and cool to warm temperature requirements depending on the species. Plants should be potted in a mix that retain some moisture such as gravel. Medium should be kept moist during growing season. Repotting should be done after flowering.
