Description:
With slender, suberect to horizontal ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 close basal tubular sheaths and another towards the middle and carrying a single, apical, spreading to suberect, coriaceous, narrowly ovate, acute, basally rounded, shallowly cordate and sessile leaf that blooms at most any time of the year on a single, successive flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe with the flower lying against the center of the leaf (prostrate).

Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru.
Ecological:
At elevations of 700 to 2600 m as a medium sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte.
