Description:
with fleshy, bilobed with acute convergent point leaves that blooms in the fall on a pendulous, to 35 cm long, to 25 flowered inflorescence with the fragrant flowers facing all directions.

Cambodia, Malaya, Nicobar Is., Thailand, Vietnam (Lâm Đồng and Phú Quốc).

The Macropodanthus alatus grow with low to medium bright light, 15000-20000 lux.

In summer the average day temperature is 29-32°C (84-90°F), night 24-25°C (75-77°F), which gives a daily difference of 5-7°C (9-13°F). The average temperature of the winter day is 29-30°C (84-86°F), the night 22-23°C (72-73°F), with a daily amplitude of 7°C (13°F).
Humidity:
These plants are found in a tropical monsoon climate, a dry season from December till May with a humidity of 80% and a wet season from May till December which is very rainy with a humidity of 90%.
Watering:
Keep this species moist for most of the year. In winter lower the water gift, but don't let the roots dry out.
