Description:
With terete, obtuse leaves that blooms in the spring and summer from below the old leafless sheath bases on 1 to 2, 2 cm long, 4 to 8 flowered inflorescence with ovate-triangular, fleshy floral bracts.
Distribution:
China Southeast, Hainan, Laos, Philippines, Vietnam (Tân Biên, Tân Phú, Tây Ninh).
Ecological:
In open forests along valleys on tree trunks at elevations around 800 m as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte.
Flowering times:
Blooms in the spring and summer.
Flower size:
1.3 cm.
Cultivation:
Plants are best grown hanged in baskets and on mounted and usually require moderate sunlight and intermediate to warm temperatures. Plants should be grown in media that is well drained such as medium fir bark or sphagnum moss. Water plant regularly.
