The Very Delicate Dendrobium
Description:
With erect, red, shiny, swollen medially stem carrying 10 to 12, pale green, almost terete, gradually smaller apically leaves that blooms on a 2.5 cm long, single flowered inflorescence arising from near the apex of the stem, with color variable, short-lived flowers occurring in the summer.
Distribution:
Jawa.
Ecological:
In humid and dry montane forests at elevations of 1500 to 2200 m as a large sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte and occasional terrestrial.

Blooms in summer.

Cultivation:
Light:
Bright to Full Sun; 2750-3750 Footcandles (midday shade required).
Temperature:
Intermediate; 55°F min. to 85°F max.
Watering:
Moist/Dry; 2-4 waterings per week(let dry between waterings).
Plants should be grown in moderate light with cool to warm temperatures. Keep plant moist and fertilize during growth season. During winter reduce watering until new shoots appear. Grow in a well drain mix of sphagnum moss or medium fir bark.
