Description: 

In broad-leafed hill forests at elevations of 1400 to 2300 m as a medium sized, cold growing lithophyte on limestone outcroppings and cliffs or terrestrial in damp humus filled crevasses or in rich soils dampened by mists and splash along steep watercourses.

Distribution:

Assam, Bangladesh, Borneo, Cambodia, China South-Central, China Southeast, East Himalaya, Hainan, Japan, Jawa, Korea, Laos, Malaya, Maluku, Myanmar, Nansei-shoto, Nepal, New Guinea, Sulawesi, Sumatera, Taiwan, Thailand, Tibet, Vietnam (Lào Cai, Tam Đảo, Ninh Bình, Tây Nguyên, Lâm Đồng), West Himalaya.

Ecological:

Cultivation:

Plant should be grown in cool to intermediate areas with medium to bright light. Pot with coconut bark and perlite or with lavarock, perlite, and medium fir bark. Plant prefers dry periods between watering. Reduce watering during the winter. Water about once a week.
