Description:
With a short stem carrying 2 rows of, strap-shaped, slightly unequally bilobed apically, lobes rounded, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the spring on an axillary, horizontal to drooping, lax, paniculate, 1 to 2 branched, many flowered, 13 to 30 cm long, green with blackish spots, angular inflorescence arising from near the base of the stem.
Distribution:
Borneo, Malaya, Sumatera.
Ecological:
In hill forests and rubber plantations on tree trunks and branches at elevations of 100 to 1000 m as a small sized, hot to warm growing monopodial epiphyte.
Flowering times:
Blooms in the spring.
Flower size:
9.0 mm.
Cultivation:
Plant grows in moderate shade and warm temperatures. Pot plants in medium fir bark or sphagnum moss. Plants can also be mounted. Water when the potting media is just approaching dryness, but still a bit moist and never allow the potting media to become bone dry.
