Description. 

Epiphyte with pendulous slender sometimes branching stems to 1.2 m long with numerous distant straight terete pendent leaves. Leaves 15—30 by 0.3—0.4 cm, obtuse. Inflorescence lateral, pendulous, many-flowered, 8—15 cm long. Floral bracts minute, triangular, about 1 mm long, reflexed. Flowers widely opening, 6—8 mm across. Sepals and petals deep brown, 4—5 mm long. Sepals narrowly-ovate, petals lanceolate to linear, slightly shorter. Lip spurred, white, with 3 fleshy lobes; side-lobes erect, with incurved tips; mid-lobe broad sagittate, straight, forward directed. Spur white to pink, short and broad, saccate about 2 mm long. Back-wall callus rhomboid, indistinctly 3- lobed at the base. Column white to yellowish, stout, 1.5—2 by 1—1.5 nun. Stipe large, broadening to the apex with large horseshoe-shaped viscidium. Fruit ellipsoid capsule, 8—14 by 4—7 mm.

May-June.

Geographic range. 

S. China, Hainan, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam.

Notes. 

Very common species, particularly in lowland limestone areas of northern Vietnam.
